How do I fit a wide spreadsheet onto the page?
Leave Orientation on Auto: a sheet wider than six columns is turned to landscape automatically, and column widths are always scaled to the printable width so nothing is ever cut off at the right edge. Type size steps down from 10 pt to 5 pt as the column count grows, and long cell text wraps onto extra lines instead of overflowing.
Is the text in the finished PDF selectable and searchable?
Yes — every cell is written as real text, not a picture of the sheet, so you can select it, search it, and copy it back out. Numbers, dates and currency values keep the formatting Excel showed them in, and a typical 5-page report comes out around 20-40 KB.

About this tool

Excel To Pdf exists for one job: turning a spreadsheet into a document somebody else can open. Invoices, price lists, timesheets, class registers — anything that has to be emailed, printed or attached to a form, where sending the workbook itself would be the wrong move.

The converter reads the workbook with a spreadsheet parser, then draws each worksheet as a paginated table straight into the PDF. Because the cells are written as text objects, the result behaves like a document rather than an image: the text can be selected, searched and indexed, and a five-page report typically weighs 20-40 KB instead of the several megabytes a rendered screenshot would cost.

Cells that hold non-Latin text — Cyrillic, Greek, accented Latin — pull in an embedded Noto Sans subset so the characters come out right instead of turning into boxes. There is no account to create, no queue to wait in, and no cap on how many files you convert in a day.

What happens to your files

Nothing is uploaded. The parser and the PDF writer are ordinary JavaScript running in your tab, so a workbook you drop here is read from local memory and released when you remove it or close the page — there is no server that could keep a copy. The one network request the converter can make is for a font file from this same domain, and only when a sheet contains characters outside the Latin-1 range.
